
South Shore Speech, LLC seeks to provide your child with a unique, experience based, individualized treatment program designed to improve and maximize your child’s communication skills in your family, at school and in outside activities. We seek to help children talk, speak clearly, listen, understand and remember.
We have programs dedicated to meeting the needs of children with Speech and Language delays; Apraxia of Speech; Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) including Attention Deficit Disorders and Asperger’s Syndrome; Learning Disabilities; Central Auditory Processing Disorders (CAPD); Stuttering and Fluency Disorders; Dysphagia and Myofunctional Disorders (Tongue Thrust).

Kathleen M. Toth, MA-CCC/SLP, ASHA Certified Speech Language Pathologist, owner of South Shore Speech, LLC has over 25 years' experience in communication disorders. Kathy earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Western Michigan University. She received her Master of Arts in Speech Pathology from Wayne State University in 1982. Kathy holds the American Speech Hearing Association's highest credential, the Certificate of Clinical Competence. She is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association and the Michigan Speech and Hearing Association. Areas of specialty include language-based learning disabilities, Verbal Apraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorders including Asperser’s Syndrome, Attention Deficit and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, as well as language delay.

Ruth earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology and her Master of Arts from Western Michigan University. Ruth has the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
Ruth brings over 23 years of experience with specialties in developing pre-conversational skills, Apraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pediatric TBI, Tongue Thrust, and language-based learning disorders.
Prior to joining South Shore Speech, LLC, Ruth worked as a Speech and Language Therapist at Bronson Methodist Hospital.

Caroline earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology & Audiology and Spanish and her Master of Arts in Speech Pathology from Calvin University. She holds the American Speech-Language Hearing Association's Certificate of Clinical Competence and is licensed in the state of Michigan. Caroline has experience working in the public schools and in private practice. Areas of specialty include articulation disorders, phonological disorders, and expressive and receptive language delays/disorders.
