Kathleen M. Toth, M.A. CCC-SLP

  • Kathleen M. Toth, M.A. CCC-SLP, ASHA Certified Speech and Language Pathologist, Licensed by the State of Michigan, Owner of South Shore Speech, LLC, has over 30 years of experience in communication disorders. Kathy earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Western Michigan University. She received her Master of Arts in Speech Pathology from Wayne State University in 1982. Kathy holds the American Speech Hearing Association's highest credential, the Certificate of Clinical Competence.  She is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association and the Michigan Speech and Hearing Association. Kathy is the owner of South Shore Speech, LLC and has over 30 years experience evaluating and treating communication disorders. She is a developer of a regionally based program for Speech and Language Development including assessment procedures and an intensive treatment program for Verbal Apraxia and Motor Speech Disorders. She has been engaged in private practice at South Shore Speech, LLC since 2000. Areas of specialty include language based learning disabilities, Verbal Apraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, Tongue Thrust,  as well as language delay.

Kristen M. Pollich, M.A. CCC-SLP

  •  Kristen M. Pollich, M.A. CCC-SLP, ASHA Certified Speech and Language Pathologist, Licensed by the State of Michigan,   Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology and her Master of Arts in Speech Pathology from Western Michigan University. Kristen holds the American Speech Hearing Association's highest credential, the Certificate of Clinical Competence.  She is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association and the Michigan Speech and Hearing Association. She has been with South Shore Speech, LLC since 2012. Prior to joining us at South Shore Speech, Kristen worked in an outpatient facility. Areas of specialty include language based learning disabilities, Verbal Apraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorder , Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, language delay, and swallowing. Kristen is the mother of four boys and truly loves pediatric speech therapy.

Heidi R. Thorpe, M.A. CCC-SLP

  • Heidi R. Thorpe, M.A. CCC-SLP, ASHA Certified Speech Language Pathologist, Licensed by the State of Michigan   Heidi earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology and Masters of Arts in Speech Pathology at Western Michigan University. Heidi has the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Heidi has been involved in speech and language services at South Shore Speech since her 2011 graduate internship.  Areas of specialty include Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Tongue Thrust/ Myofunctional Therapy, Social Skills, language based learning disabilities and language delays, as well as experience in public schools with IEPs.

Jody Lesniak

  • Jody Lesniak is the Office Manager at South Shore Speech, LLC. She has been working in this capacity at South Shore Speech since 2004. She graduated Cum Laude from Nazareth College with a Bachelor’s of Art in English and Secondary English and Art Education Certification. Before her time at South Shore Speech, Jody taught Middle School Language Arts for the Battle Creek Area Catholic Schools for 7 years and substitute taught for preschool through adult education for numerous years prior to and following her time at BCACS.

Nancy Rogers

  • Nancy Rogers has assisted in the office at South Shore Speech, LLC since 2015. Nancy graduated from Nazareth College with a Bachelor of Arts  in Learning Disabilities and Elementary Education in 1979 and a Masters of Arts  from Western Michigan University in Special Education, focusing on Emotional Impairment in 1981. Nancy taught  Special Education  in Portage Public Schools for over 34 years. Upon retiring from Portage in 2013, Nancy has been involved with the Breakfast Optimist Club of Kalamazoo (BOCK), the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) as well as various volunteer activities and opportunities.
