Kathleen M. Toth, M.A. CCC-SLP

Kathleen M. Toth, M.A. CCC-SLP

  • Owner of South Shore Speech
Kathleen Toth has over 30 years of experience in evaluating and treating communication disorders. Kathy earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Western Michigan University. She received her Master of Arts in Speech Pathology from Wayne State University in 1982.

Kathy holds the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's highest credential, the Certificate of Clinical Competence. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Michigan Speech and Hearing Association.

Kathy is a developer of a regionally based program for Speech and Language Development including assessment procedures and an intensive treatment program for Verbal Apraxia and Motor Speech Disorders. She has been engaged in private practice at South Shore Speech since 2000.

Areas of specialty include language-based learning disabilities, verbal apraxia, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit and attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, tongue thrust, as well as language delay.

Ruth A. Hodge M.A. CCC-SLP

  • Licensed by the State of Michigan
Ruth earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology and her Master of Arts from Western Michigan University. She brings over 23 years of experience with specialties in developing pre-conversational skills, Apraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pediatric TBI, Tongue Thrust, and language based learning disorders.

Prior to joining South Shore Speech, LLC, Ruth worked as a Speech and Language Therapist at Bronson Methodist Hospital.

Caroline Jordan, M.A. CCC-SLP

  • ASHA-Certified Speech Language Pathologist
  • Licensed by the State of Michigan
Caroline earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology & Audiology and Spanish and her Master of Arts in Speech Pathology from Calvin University.  She holds the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's Certificate of Clinical Competence and is licensed in the State of Michigan. Caroline has experience working the public schools and in private practice. Areas of speciality include articulation disorders, phonological disorder, and receptive and expressive language disorders/delays.
